5.6.4 Accessible childcare facilities for students which allow recent mothers to attend courses

Collaborations with Kuwaiti Daycare Centers

AUM has collaborations with Kuwaiti daycare centers located near the campus. These kindergartens provide services for AUM staff, where children can participate in different activities and learn subjects of interest to them.

The daycare center also offers a summer camp where children can enjoy various activities during the summer. For AUM community, this summer service is also affordable for them. This camp is also available to any Kuwait City child who wishes to participate in this activity.

AUM Central Clinic

AUM has the AUM Central Clinic, which includes two large clinics that can accommodate a large number of patients on a daily basis. Each clinic has a registered nurse selected from the emergency department of one of the most renowned hospitals in Kuwait. The nurses are well trained and have solid experience in handling medical cases and emergencies. In addition to having the best medical equipment and continuously monitoring the validity of medications, AUM ensures the highest standards of cleanliness in its central clinic.

The AUM clinic is available to staff of the university, where free, quality care will be provided. It also offers its services to the children of all those who belong to AUM, these health services will also be free of charge. The children will be attended in the maternity ward of the AUM central clinic.

AUM Initiatives to Support Children

Conference On Child Protection

AUM is participating in the first Kuwait Regional Conference for Child Protection from the Social Media Risks under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak.

Given the news about child slavery and women in Kuwait who were deceived through social networks, it was determined that it is necessary to raise awareness in society and especially parents about the dangers of excessive use of electronic devices, in addition to the lack of supervision on the sites where children access.

AUM repudiates all kinds of existing slavery and especially in the existing in children, so it is committed with the government to find solutions to this problem.
